On Christmas Eve 2011, Nikki and Jarrod were married at Bilgola Beach in a very relaxed and intimate ceremony. The bride was beautiful in her white bikini and the groom handsome in his very best board shorts. We all had a lot of fun and I wish them a very happy future together.
What a busy weekend it has been with couples all over the world wanting to get married on 11.11.11.
It was certainly a perfect day here in Sydney with warm weather and low humidity. Sarah and Craig were married at the Q Station in Manly. They were very excited and had a wonderful day.
Q Station is an amazing venue and I hope to perform many more weddings there.
Later in the evening, just at sunset, Max and Mana were married in a small and intimate ceremony at home. The views were breathtaking as they exchanged their vows just before the sun disappeared below the horizon.
Saturday was another perfect day when Kylie and Glenn exchanged their vows, again at the Q Station. It looked like everyone was set for a good evening when I left.
Congratulations to all!
Ian and Amy were married on Monday at the Pavilion in Manly. It was a great day, the venue was stunning and they were both relaxed and composed. A large wedding with many overseas and interstate visitors. I wish Ian and Amy my very best wishes for a very happy future together.

What an amazing week. Nothing to do with weddings, but last week I had the privilege of visiting Nhulunbuy and Yirrakala in East Arnhem Land. It is a very remote area and the people living there have a lot of challenges, but it seemed like a beautiful, peaceful place and the people we met were really lovely. My fulltime job is as General Manager of Peer Support Australia and we are hoping to bring the Peer Support Program to East Arnhem Land. The schools were very receptive and we look forward to supporting them in their journey in developing future community leaders.

Congratulations to Lisa and Steve who were married today at the Rotunda. It was a great day with mild temperatures, blue skies and no rain. Lisa was beautiful and Steve, very handsome. They spent today with friends and later in the month will travel to Ireland to recommit in front of family at home.

What a lovely day for a wedding. One of the interesting things about being a marriage celebrant is the different requests we receive and the different types of weddings we regularly experience. Today my couple wanted a very intimate ceremony. Just 6 of us in total. It was very simple, touching and beautiful. My very best wishes to you both.

It has been really interesting watching the UK program, My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. Being Irish myself, and buying into the stereotype of Gypsies being thieves and scoundrels, it was eye-opening and fascinating to see young girls with high morals and old fashioned values, whose goal in life was to get married and look after their husbands. The desire for OTT wedding dresses contrasts strongly with the elegant fashion we see at weddings here in Australia.
